Do you see this baby’s eyes? No, seriously–do you see her eyes?? Gorgeous!!

holly09

The Hollys bid on a photo session with me at a silent auction recently, and we met at Falls Park in Greenville SC for photos of their beautiful family! How cute are these three??

Amelia was all done with the posed-picture-thing….and I think this is stinkin’ adorable!

holly05

Aw, “Hi Daddy!”

holly03

Having fun twirling with mommy. Amelia kept doing the baby sign language sign for “more”. 🙂

Sweet girl!

holly08

Cutest smile ever, perhaps??

The Reids: Greenville SC Family Portraits

One of my favorite things about living in a small-ish town is knowing people for virtually my entire life. There’s something to be said for growing up together and staying in touch during all the phases of your life. I have known Stacy and Chuck since middle school, and we all graduated from high school together. They are truly “high school sweethearts,” and it’s crazy to see their boys getting so grown up now! (I have a snapshot in my house of a big group of us on my parents’ deck, and Justin was just a baby; he’s 13 now. How does that happen??) It was a lot of fun to get together recently in Greenville for portraits of their family.

reid01

Together since they were juniors (or sophomores???) in high school…

reid08

Justin’s stoic “I refuse to smile” look.

reid03

LOVE these. Sorry Justin, we DID make you smile. 😉

reid04

Austin was really excited about our session, and he even made some great suggestions for locations to shoot! He did awesome!

Right now, I’m really loving images that show a family just laughing and hanging out together…these are the moments that really define our relationships with others.

Stacy, Chuck, Justin, and Austin: I say it all the time, but it really does mean a lot to me when friends ask me to photograph their lives. I hope you love your photos!

The Smiths at Sky Top: Flat Rock NC Family Portraits

Three sweet sisters, two fun and loving parents, and a beautiful fall morning in the mountains. I met the Smiths at Sky Top Orchards in Flat Rock NC for portraits of this adorable and good-as-gold family. I loved photographing this family, and I love their portraits, but I do NOT love that I always go to SkyTop when the apples are already off the trees. Boo! Their apple cider donuts, however, make me feel much, much better. 😉

Mmmmm, apple cider donuts.

Where were we? Oh yes, The Smiths at Sky Top…

Me: “When was the last time you had photos of just the two of you?” Them: “Probably our wedding day.” 🙂 Love these shots!

The Burch Clan: Spartanburg SC Family Portraits

Posted

Usually for a photographer, more people = more challenging, but not with the Burches. This extended family of 8 was easy-peasy to photograph, because they are just so loving and agreeable! I had a great afternoon photographing their family portraits at Cleveland Park in Spartanburg SC.

Pretty lady! Grandmas are the best.

burch10

With the grands…

burch11

You may remember Amber and Alyssa from their portrait session last fall. This year, Amber is in college and Alyssa’s a freshman in high school!

burch12

With mom and dad…

burch01

And just mom and dad. How cute are they? I think it’s SO important for couples to continue to document their love story even if they’ve been married for years!

burch13

Adorable little Evan and his folks!

burch07

SO sweet! See why this family was so easy??

burch14

Maybe my favorite from the session. I LOVE this shot of Evan in his daddy’s arms with mom looking on with such care and sweetness.

burch05

Burch Family: thank you so much for inviting into your lives two years in a row! You are truly a caring and unique family. I hope that these photos will be a blessing to your family.

The Lees in the Leaves: Greer, SC Family Portraits

Posted

I love this family, and I love this place! My sweet friends The Lees came to my sweet grandparents’ house for portraits of their family under the ginormous maple tree. Ella Jane had lots of fun playing in the huge carpet of bright orange leaves beneath the tree. Who can resist all these leaves and Ellie’s pretty blue eyes??

ejfall04

*Squeal!* So.much.fun!

Robyn and Burton just celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary this week. Happy Anniversary, ya’ll! I’m so glad I was a part of your wedding! (I was a bridesmaid rather than a photographer that day….)

ejfall14

And one more of cute Ella Jane and the seriously gigantic tree!
