Miss Addison

Posted

Waaaaay back in 2003, the first bridal portraits that I ever shot were of Resa and her sister, who got married 6 weeks apart (their poor parents, right?!?). Resa was one of the first of her friends to get married, and she was sweet enough to pass my name along to most all of her friends when they got engaged. In all, I think I was the photographer for 5 or 6 of them! Anyway, I’ve kept in touch with Resa and her husband Brenn, and we’ve been trying to plan a family session for over a year. Brenn contacted me right before Mother’s Day, wanting to surprise Resa with a portrait session…..but the same week Resa ALSO contacted me wanting to schedule something! Ack!! I felt so badly trying to put her off until he could give her the gift. 🙂

We had a gorgeous morning in Spartanburg for their long-awaited family portraits. Brenn and Resa’s little girl Addison is so beautiful…

I think Addison is SUCH a mix of Brenn and Resa both; I see so much of each of them in her…

I looooove this setting and Addison’s long dress & sweet bare feet. So Southern!

And finally, one of my favorites from the day…

I say it all the time, and I read it on other photographers’ blogs all the time, but it is so true: nothing is more rewarding than having clients I also consider my friends. Few people have the opportunity to follow a family through the most important times in their lives. I am so happy and humbled to do what I do!

Don’t forget to leave a comment to “show me (and Miss Addison’s family) some love!”

Chelsea & Dion–Second Shooting

Posted

Like most photographers, I got my start by “second shooting”–working with another photographer to shoot scenes from a different angle or to catch the fun stuff going on while the posed pictures are being set up. It has been a long time since I’ve gotten to second shoot, but it is such a great opportunity to be creative! Last week, I had the chance to work with Kim DeLoach, and I had so much fun. Chelsea was a beautiful bride, and her and Dion’s wedding was heartfelt, fun, and filled with emotion and gorgeous colors…

Love, love, love this one…

This little cutie wanted to be wherever the “big girls” were!

This photo cracks me up. It’s actually one of my favorites from the day, haha!

Chelsea and Dion’s reception was at the new Greer, SC, City Hall Complex. Being a Greer-girl myself, I am so excited that our little town now has such a beautiful park and facility!

And last but not least, my “yay!!” photo of the night…

As always, I hope you will “show me some love”! Thanks for stopping by my site!

Dillon & The Twins

I love staying in touch with my brides & grooms, and it makes me so happy to not just be a “one-time” photographer for a couple. I photographed David and Hilary’s wedding several years ago, and now that their twins have turned one, it was time for us to connect again! I think twins are so special, and Hayden and Ethan are my 3rd set to photograph–all boys! Dillon is such an awesome big brother! He knew just what to do to make the babies laugh, whether it was doing jumping jacks or having a tickle-fest, and he plopped right down to read a book to them in the grass. Sweet boys!

This picture makes my heart all squishy…

David and Hilary, thank you so much for choosing me (again!) to photograph such special moments in your life. What a great afternoon in the sun with your family!
