Ashlee: Bridal Portraits

Posted

When we were shooting Ashlee’s bridal portraits on her birthday back in September, she kept threatening her BFF and soon-to-be sister-in-law that she had BETTER NOT put any of the photos she was snapping on facebook…apparently Lindsey has a hard time keeping secrets. Well, when I got home and looked at these portraits, it was all I could do not to post them myself!! I told Ashlee this week that I can’t wait any longer, I am putting her post together and hitting “Publish” from her reception! So…if you are reading this on Saturday evening, Ashlee and Pat have just said “I do,” and they are now busy cutting the cake and dancing the night away at Hopkins Farm. And I don’t have to wait any longer to show you Ashlee’s artsy + elegant bridal portraits. Yay!

Love, love, love this one!

The tiny ladybug in Ashee’s bouquet was a little good luck surprise from her florist Kim at “all in the Details.”

I can’t decide between color and b&w. What do you think?

Ashlee and Patrick are huge fans of the Braves and the Panthers. Love these sassy shots!

Ashlee is such an awesome bride, and she really has an eye for the artistic. She totally stepped out of the norm and ordered the silhouette on the left for her 16×20 canvas. Too cool!

I had about a million favorites from Ashlee’s session, but this is probably my number one favorite image. Love the sky, love her grace, LOVE.IT.

Whew, I feel a weight lifted off of me to finally show these, haha! Ashlee, you rocked it, girl! Happy Wedding Day!

Don’t forget to leave a comment and “show me some love!”

Ashley–a very “Good Friday”

Posted

Ashley and Garron were married Saturday in a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Rock Barn Golf and Spa in Conover, NC. Those pictures are coming! Until they are ready, though, I wanted to post Ashley’s gorgeous bridal portraits.

Back in March, on Good Friday, I photographed Ashley at her great-grandparents’ homeplace. It was a windy spring day, and the old farm–now updated and where several family members still live–was the perfect backdrop for her portraits. Ashley was stunning and up for anything I suggested, although back in March she kept saying she “felt like a martian” in her wedding get-up. She was happy to report Saturday that she finally felt completely comfortable in her beautiful dress and veil!

Enjoy the preview–there are lots of pictures, and it was hard to narrow it down even this much! A special note to Ashley and Garron’s family and friends: please continue checking back over the next week or two for ordering information for the wedding photos! Thanks!

Did I mention it was windy?!? We about lost the veil!

Oooh, I love these!!

Ashley–it has been so great becoming friends over the past several months! Your portraits are some of my all-time favorites, and that was such a great day with you, your mom, and Marilynn at a place so special to your family. Hope you and Garron are enjoying the honeymoon, and I can’t wait for you to see the wedding pictures!
