I can’t say enough about how kind and patient and gracious the Pooles are! They were so much fun during their portrait session…so much fun that I don’t think Mr. J even knew we were there for family portraits! 🙂 Mom sent me the nicest email after our session, and that just made my day. Family portraits have the potential to be stressful, but I always hope that they become a fun time for families to laugh and hug and play together….and this one was exactly that! One really neat perk of my photography business has been reconnecting with so many people from high school or college and seeing them in a totally “new” role as husbands, wives, and parents. Ten, fifteen, pushing 20 years ago (ack!) it was nearly impossible to envision ourselves as grown-ups, yet here we are! I enjoyed photographing the Stanton Family recently at Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC….mom and I went to high school together and she now has a sweet, busy, beautiful family of five. A Day in the Life of the Goasguens | Upstate SC Family Portraits

(Perhaps the greatest family portrait ever!!)

I really, really enjoy photographing this family! The first time I photographed the Goasguens, mom was just a few days away from delivering Baby B, and they were completely laid-back and fun-spirited. (You may see those photos HERE and HERE.) This session was no exception, and I enjoyed shooting more of a documentary style to capture “A Day in the Life” of their family….baby drool, painting and leaping, hide & seek, kisses, and this energetic and loving family just being themselves. Enjoy!
