There are a few things my clients do that really let me know I’ve done a great job as their photographer: happy, sentimental tears; telling me that I truly captured them or their child “as they are;” referring their friends and family to me; and calling me year after year to photograph their family again. When any of these things happen, I feel so much satisfaction and contentment with the gift that I’ve provided to a family. This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve photographed the Davis Family’s portraits over the past 6 years, and we’ve become friends over those years. I love seeing how their kids grow and change from year to year, and how their family enjoys being together. We met at Furman University in Greenville SC on a beautiful fall day for the latest installment in their family portraits….I hope you will enjoy! I can’t say enough about how kind and patient and gracious the Pooles are! They were so much fun during their portrait session…so much fun that I don’t think Mr. J even knew we were there for family portraits! 🙂 Mom sent me the nicest email after our session, and that just made my day. Family portraits have the potential to be stressful, but I always hope that they become a fun time for families to laugh and hug and play together….and this one was exactly that! I love love this extended family. Not just because they are fun and sassy and feisty and honest. Not just because they are full of love and life and fire. Not just because they keep me laughing and send all kinds of photography business my way. I love them because they helped change my future! When Robyn and Burton were dating 9+ years ago, they thought their crazy roommates would be perfect for each other. Those crazy roommates had fun together but didn’t really see what Robyn and Burton saw in them. Turns out, they were right, and their crazy roommates ARE perfect for each other! Robyn, Burton, and the Cutest Flower Girl Ever will be a major part of mine and Tony’s wedding in May, to celebrate what they saw all along. So yes–I love this whole family for many reasons!!
