Stephanie & Clark Are Married! Part I

Posted

He makes her laugh and keeps her calm. She inspires him to be a better person. They are classic in their style, and timeless in their love. They are lace and bowties and Clemson football tailgates. They are Stephanie and Clark, and they are married!

(Stephanie’s Romona Keveza gown and custom veil from J Majors were gorgeous. You may remember her bridal portraits from THIS POST.)

Stephanie’s adorable shoes!

So much happiness! Happy bride getting dressed, happy sister helping, happy mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law seeing Stephanie for the first time!

Stephanie’s mother presented her bridesmaids with these beautiful embroidered handkerchiefs from Europe. Stephanie and her mom then traded, so Stephanie’s “something borrowed” was her mom’s handkerchief. Sweet idea!

Julie tries Stephanie’s ring on for size. 🙂

Stephanie’s flowers were a sweet variety of romantic pinks. Dahlia: a Florist did a beautiful job!

Her bridesmaids’ bouquets were simple and chic.

I wasn’t able to photograph inside the sanctuary at Aldersgate UMC in Greenville, SC, but I captured some beautiful images through a beveled window in the door!

Stephanie had a little problem remembering which finger Clark’s ring should go on. 😉 Love all the laughter in this moment.

The stained glass at Aldersgate is gor-geous…and a perfect mix of traditional and modern, just like Stephanie and Clark…

As always, let me and the newlyweds know you’ve been here checking out their photos. I love it when you “show me some love”!

Rebecca & Marshall: Anniversary Portraits (again!)

Posted

You may remember that my bff Rebecca, her husband Marshall, and I nearly froze to death trying to take their 5th anniversary portraits in the NC mountains back at New Year’s. I am a southern girl, and I just don’t see any reason why the wind chill should be in single digits. Can I get an “amen”?!? I went to visit Rebecca and Marshall in Alabama recently, and we shot “part two” of their anniversary session. Fortunately, it was a beautiful spring afternoon…no frostbite this time!

Love love love this one!

Happy Anniversary (again) you two!!

Me and my BFF….in case you didn’t read the post from our January session, Rebecca and I were in the same kindergarten class, graduated from high school together, shared a rinky-dink college apartment, and are as close as sisters. 🙂

Someone (that would be me) could use a tan. By the time he shot the photo on the right, Marshall was acting like he was on an NYC fashion shoot…we were obviously amused. I love it.

I love comments! Feel free to “show me some love!”

Zachary–Sneak Peek!

Posted

Just a quick sneak peek of my little buddy Zachary, who had a blast throwing pebbles, stones, rocks, boulders, sticks etc. into the creek at Furman. Being a boy is a fun job!

Emmanuel’s Salon: Headshots and Website Pics

Posted

The fabulous folks at Emmanuel’s Salon in Simpsonville, SC, are updating their website, and I had the awesome privilege of shooting the stylists’ headshots as well as scenes from the salon. This salon is gorgeous–a very cool mix of antiques and Victorian details combined with a hip, modern feel. The stylists are all incredibly sweet and were rockstars in front of the camera! It is so much fun to work with creative folks!

Linda and Phil, a husband-wife team of stylists, are the super-hip owners of Emmanuel’s…

I absolutely loved that the stylists’ stations and dryers were mixed in with chandeliers, Victorian furniture, and old architecture. Emmanuel’s really has such a unique atmosphere!

As always, if you like what you see please leave a comment and “show me (and Emmanuel’s) some love!”
