Miss Emma: Portraits
Little Emma and her parents came to me for her 6-month photos, and she is quite the cutie! Round cheeks, a big grin, and strawberry blonde hair that matched the leaves we were playing in. She recently discovered her tongue, and it is sticking out in about half our pictures, hehe. She is too adorable, and her Mommy and Daddy love her like crazy!
Sweet girl!
This session was special for me, because we shot some of the portraits at my grandparents’ house beneath their humongous maple tree just a few weeks after my Grandmother died. She always loved the carpet of leaves, and it made her happy to see children playing there.
Squishy face…makes me smile too!
We moved on to a field near my house. I am forever driving past cool spots just hoping someone will agree to have their photos taken there! I’ve started taking pics of new locations on my phone so I can remember them all!
Love this one…
Jill and Jeff, it was great to meet you and Emma. You are such a happy little family, and I look forward to more photos in the future!

Baby Wyatt: Newborn
Baby Wyatt’s parents love life. They want to have their toes in the sand and to hear the sounds of waves lapping against the hull of their sailboat.
Baby Wyatt’s parents experience life. They travel the seas, they cheer like crazy for their favorite football teams, and they rescue animals who need a home.
Baby Wyatt’s parents treasure life. When Jennifer was only a couple of months pregnant with Wyatt, the family was hit head on by a drunk driver, leaving Jeff with months and months of recovery from his injuries.
Baby Wyatt’s parents live life, and they gave their son the most appropriate name, as WYATT means “strong and brave” and also “water.” These photos are from his one-month birthday…
See, he’s already big and strong and ready to cheer on the Tigers!
Wyatt and Daddy
Wyatt’s nursery has a great sailing and beach theme with tons of personal touches…
Wyatt’s little booties, and his daddy Jeff’s own baby shoes…
This makes me giggle! 🙂
Such a sweet moment between Wyatt and Mommy…
Jennifer and Jeff, thank you for welcoming me into your home! I’m looking forward to seeing you guys again soon and chatting about the Keys some more. 🙂

And as always, it’s great when you “show me some love!”
Tracy & Ashley: Married
Front porches with tall white columns, handmade quilts, and mint juleps.
Wildflowers in Mason jars, a bluegrass band, and coconut cake.
Golfing, sparkly shoes, and jumping in the pool fully clothed.
A fun-loving, affectionate, caring new family.
Tracy and Ashley, Parker and Jess.
The Liberty Lodge in Walhalla, SC was the perfect location for family and friends to celebrate a wonderful beginning. I have already posted several of their portraits on facebook, so I wanted to show you their amazing wedding-day details here. I will post portraits on here really soon…in the meantime friend me on facebook, and enjoy this eye-candy!
Tracy’s vision for her wedding day was relaxed Southern elegance, and she and her girlfriends–the YaYas–did an amazing job with the details.
I love the mix of super simple cut flowers in jars + the way hot bridesmaids’ shoes!
Tracy’s YaYas and best friends-turned-family…
Sweet girl!
Tracy & Ashley’s ceremony on the front porch was such a sweet celebration of their love.
Too cute!
Sweet moments celebrating with friends and family…
Conservation Theory played amazing bluegrass on the porch before the ceremony and out by the pool during the reception.
I am craaaaazy over these next two shots of some of the Conservation Theory guys!
Tracy & Ashley’s guests were treated to a “sweet Southern snack” of Coca-Cola and MoonPies. If you don’t know about the marshmallowy goodness of MoonPies or Coke in glass bottles (or you call it “pop”)….you need to head on down South and get educated on the good stuff. 🙂
I don’t think Miss Lulu was too thrilled about her veil…but every good belle has to suffer a little for beauty…
I can’t even tell you how much this crowd loves and protects one another. The YaYas are truly a little family…I am becoming an honorary member with every one of their weddings I shoot!
I am fairly certain there was a No Swimming rule during the reception. That rule was broken.
The cute newlyweds!
Tracy and Ashley, you guys are beautiful, fun, kind, and definitely made for one another. Thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding and portraits and for all of your creativity! It’s time for sushi, or fry grease. 😉 LOL

Ashley & James: Married
Ashley and James are so many things: spiritual, elegant, stylish, kind, loving. Their wedding was such a reflection of them, with an emotional “First Look” before the ceremony; crisp black, white, and green details; and the love of their family, friends, and God pouring over them as they became husband and wife.
Check out all this emotion from the “First Look!” *swoon*
I love the simple elegance of these…
James is such a GQ groom. 🙂
Ashley and her girls…
The Rings:
Instead of a traditional guest book, Ashley and James’ guests signed this hardbound copy of “InStyle Weddings.” What a cool idea!
Celebrating after the ceremony!
Ashley’s dad was updating facebook with his iPhone as the wedding day unfolded. iLove it!
Details, details, details from the reception…
All the BFFs are married now!
Ashley’s grandparents traveled for hours to attend the wedding. These photos warm my heart!
I love the paparazzi-like feel of these “going-away” photos…
My favorite part of any wedding is “couple pictures” of the bride and groom. Here are some of my favorite portraits of the day:
Loooooove this one. It would make a killer canvas!
My two faves. Hello, epic!
