Baby Landon’s Birth-day! | Greenville, SC Newborn Photographer

Posted

Happy Mother’s Day! What better way to celebrate all that mothers do–the love, the work, the care, the fun, the concern–than by celebrating Baby Landon’s birth-day?? He just turned two weeks old, and he is my boyfriend’s sweet nephew. I documented the night of his birth (and by night, I mean “overnight”) and some family portraits when he was just barely 24 hours old. His “official” newborn portraits are coming soooooon!

A few things to consider when you’re looking at these pictures…

1) All of the times you see are a.m. After midnight. Late night. Early morning. Landon took his time getting here. 🙂

2) Hospital waiting rooms are not made for waiting.

3) This baby is so sweet, so cute, and so very loved!

Welcome, Landon! Happy Birth-day!

Happy 1st Mother’s Day, Jennie! And Happy Mother’s Day to my mom, who is the perfect combination of sweetness and spunkiness. Love you!

Elizabeth | Greenville, SC Senior Portraits

Posted

Senior Portraits….not just for high school! Elizabeth is about to graduate from college, and we spent some time at Falls Park in Greenville shooting portraits for her graduation announcements. After a week of gorgeous 80* spring days, it was overcast and a chilly 45* for her session (boo!)….but Elizabeth was amazing and we had a great time anyway!

I Can’t.

“I think I can, I think I can.” The Little Engine That Could was able to climb the highest peaks and deliver his goods to the townspeople because he kept repeating the things that he CAN do. Good for him, but here are some things that I CAN’T do…

I can’t fill my gas tank up unless the gas light is on.
I can’t dance without a little liquid encouragement.
I can’t go a week without chips and salsa.
I can’t sit down at a concert. Or not sing along.
I can’t believe Taco Bell only uses 35% meat. How can something as yummy as the Mexican Pizza be too good to be true??
I can’t cook rice.
I can’t handle a day without my iPhone.
I can’t talk to my cat Pearl without sounding like a complete goofball.
I can’t ride in the car without the radio on. Singing along. Probably badly.
I can’t drink skim milk. Blech. Whole or 2%, baby!
I can’t tolerate punctuation errors, especially on signage. Seriously, you paid for that misplaced apostrophe in your business’ name??
I can’t say no to a great pair of shoes. As a result…
I can’t fit one more pair of shoes into my closet.
I can’t watch Dirty Dancing too many times.
I can’t fall asleep without Chapstick. Or hearing him whisper “sweet dreams.”

How about you? What are some things on YOUR “can’t” list? Leave a comment and let me know…

Yesterday, you got to see portraits of cute little ZuZu, who just became a big brother this week. Today, I wanted to give some attention to Mom and Dad, who were so relaxed and loving during our session.

I just love families who focus on each other, and these parents really seem to have a fun but calming presence. Maybe it’s the yoga…
