The Davis Family | Fall Family Portrait Photographer, Greenville SC

I have been honored to be The Davis Family’s photographer since their youngest child was just one year old! I love photographing their fall portraits throughout Greenville SC, and this year we chose Campbell’s Covered Bridge for our location. It was the chilliest morning so far this fall, but they snuggled up and looked amazing for their portraits–I think this is my favorite of their sessions yet!! I love watching this family grow up over the years–it is such a wonderful thing to be chosen time and time again to capture a family’s relationship.

Alyssa, Class of 2014 | Poinsett Bridge Greenville SC Senior Portraits

Alyssa asked me to photograph her Senior Portraits in an area that showcased the elegant beauty of nature, so we chose the texture, the history, the lovely wildness of Poinsett Bridge in northern Greenville County, SC. I cannot think of a better backdrop to photograph this high school senior. Alyssa has a quiet yet witty elegance about her, an “old soul,” a personality that so perfectly matches the juxtaposition of the weathered moss-covered stones and the softness of falling leaves. I met her and her sweet mother on a CHILLY fall afternoon to capture this young lady’s perfectly aloof model stare….and a few real smiles as well. I LOVE photographing teens and seniors–so much personality, so much emotion, so much to come in their lives!

20th Anniversary Couples Session | Greenville SC Couples Photography

I am a huge believer in celebrating and photographing your love, whatever phase it is in, and I also think we should soak in as many experiences as life hands to us. When it came time for my friend Marilynn to give her dad and step-mom a gift for their 20th wedding anniversary, she opted to give these special people the gift of memories. She planned a weekend getaway to Greenville SC, complete with a riverfront hotel package, spa treatments, dinner out, a wine toast, and a special photography session to celebrate their love over the past 20 years. This photo session was their first professional portraits EVER. We really wanted to just carve out a bit of time for them to laugh and love together so that when they view these pictures they remember the EXPERIENCE of this weekend. Yes, yes, yes!!! THIS is why I love photography: the opportunity to remember not just how you look or what you’re wearing, but to remember how you feel together….one year in or 20.

The Major Family | Greenville SC Fall Family Photographer

I can always tell when it’s beginning to feel like Fall in Greenville: pumpkin spice everything, sunny days and crisp air, a few leaves starting to turn, and lots and lots of family portrait sessions! I love love the Major Family. Not just because of their big smiles and shades of auburn hair, or their love and energy, or their super cute wardrobe choices. I love the Major Family because they truly choose Amy Clifton Keely Photography to be their family’s photographer. This year’s early fall session at Greenville SC’s historic Poinsett Bridge is the SIXTH time I have photographed this sweet family. That means so much to me–to be asked into people’s lives over and over again through the years, through births and birthdays, as the seasons change. I hope you will enjoy these portraits as much as I enjoyed capturing them. My goal with every session is to really capture people as they are, and I hope that you feel like you know this family a little better after seeing their photos.

At every family portrait session, I make it a point to photograph mom and dad, just the two of them. After all, this is where their family began–with the love between the two of them. And what better gift to give your children than evidence of that love?

While Jess and Chris were getting snuggly in front of my camera, the girls were reenacting their scene BEHIND the camera. Too bad I didn’t capture the gagging noises they were also making. Hehe! 😉

The Kaplan Family of 3 | Asheville NC Baby and Family Photographer

Sweet Baby Jake is 5 months old, and he and his parents (some of my BFFs) were visiting from the West coast so we could all meet this precious boy for the first time. Tony and I were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with them at The Botanical Gardens at Asheville NC to photograph their first family portraits as a family of three. I cannot tell you how much it means to truly be the Kaplan’s “family photographer” through all stages of their life–engagement portraits, Marilynn’s bridals, getting-ready photos at their wedding (I was a reader in their wedding), maternity photos, and now Jake’s first portraits. They are a special family and fun, smart, generous friends.
